How to join a cannabis club in Fuengirola

First, what a cannabis club is

Spain has no Amsterdam-style coffee shops. There's no retail sale of cannabis. What it has are cannabis social clubs: private, non-profit associations of adult members. Private consumption between adults is tolerated, and the clubs exist inside that space, for members only.

So you don't walk in and buy as a customer. You join. You become a member of an association and you accept its rules. That's the difference between a club and a shop. Who can join

A private cannabis club in Fuengirola still has a door policy. Becoming a member takes two things. You're 18 or older. And you bring your original ID document. Not a photo on your phone, not a copy. It has to be yours, and it has to be valid.

Your first visit

It's short, and a little formal. That's on purpose. We check your ID. You fill in and sign the membership form. You read the association's rules and accept them. Then you get your membership, and you're in.

What you don't need

You don't need a reservation or a long application. At Velvet, an original ID document and being 18+ is all it takes.
